A Steady Start For The Early Days

The early days with a new baby are tender, emotional, and often overwhelming.

You may feel exhausted, unsure, and pulled in many directions, all while learning how to care for someone completely new.

I believe every family deserves a calm, supported beginning, not perfection, pressure, or rigid expectations.

A steady start means slowing things down. It means having someone beside you to guide, reassure, and remind you that you’re doing enough.

My role is to support both you and your baby, offering practical newborn care guidance, emotional reassurance, and holistic postpartum support so you can rest, recover, and grow into this new season with confidence.

There is no one “right” way to do postpartum. Together, we focus on what feels nourishing, sustainable, and supportive for your family, helping you feel grounded, informed, and steady

Hi! I’m Kasey

I’m Kasey, a certified holistic postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, and a mom of two boys. I created The Steady Start Doula to support families during the tender early weeks after birth, with calm guidance, practical education, and heartfelt care.

After becoming a mother myself, I know how overwhelming the newborn stage can feel. Too much information, not enough support, and the constant feeling of wondering if you’re doing things “right.” My goal is to help you feel steady and confident while supporting your baby’s development, bonding, and early brain growth, right from the start.

I offer nurturing, in-home postpartum support that blends newborn care, emotional support, and education so you never feel alone in this season. You don’t need to have it all figured out, I’m here to walk alongside you, one steady step at a time.

From Families I’ve Supported

“Kasey brings a rare blend of tenderness and intuition to her work that immediately puts both parents and babies at ease. Her loving, compassionate presence feels steady and grounding during moments that can otherwise feel overwhelming. She has a deep spiritual understanding of birth that honors not just the physical process, but the emotional and energetic needs of both mother and baby. Kasey listens with her whole heart and responds with wisdom. Anyone supported by Kasey is truly held, seen, and cared for in one of life’s most sacred transitions.”

— Frances

“My family was lucky enough to have Kasey help us with our 4/5 month old during my transition back to work and my son starting daycare. Kasey was such a huge help to us during this time, and I was so happy to get connected with her. She is nurturing, attentive, and interactive. During my son's wake windows, she would sing to him, work on tummy time, read books, get him outside for fresh air, etc. Kasey is very knowledgeable when it comes to infant care. I highly recommend Kasey, and any family would be lucky to have her.”

— Carley

“We truly can’t say enough good things about Kasey. She has been an invaluable part of our postpartum journey, caring for our three children, especially our newborn, with such patience, love, and confidence. She brought a sense of calm into our home, helped our older children adjust beautifully, and has been someone we completely trust and rely on. Kasey has made our transition to a family of five so much smoother, and we are incredibly grateful for the support she’s given our family during this special time.”
